FOCUS YOUTH SEEKS TO CREATE SPACES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE (SCHOOL YEARS 7 - 13) TO BUILD FRIENDSHIPS, ENCOUNTER AND WORSHIP GOD AND HAVE AN EPIC TIME TOGETHER.
FOR FOUR DAYS A YEAR WE GET TOGETHER, PAUSE FROM NORMAL ROUTINE AND EXPEREINCE WHAT GOD DOES TO PREPARE US FOR THE 361 DAYS WE ARE IN OUR SEPARATE SCHOOLS, CITIES AND CHURCHES. WHY DON’T YOU JOIN US?
FOCUS YOUTH CENTRE
Our largest venue is a pop-up multipurpose Youth Centre! We've got skate ramps, basketball hoops, gaming spaces, a football cage & plenty of space for catching up with mates across the weekend - plus epic After Hours fun! For those in years 7-11, expect to make the most of the space during the morning sessions (inc. small groups ULTIMATE CHALLENGE). Our evening sessions are where all of Focus Youth gather together! Our friends at The Pillar UK join us to facilitate a calm and refreshing space so you can reset without having set out of the venue!
common room
The Common Room is our bespoke venue open to those in years 12 and 13 in the mornings to come along and grab some breakfast and a coffee! We’ll be digging into different relevant topics and discussing with new friends from all over the country! This space hosts afternoon seminars and chilled-out After Hours fun - think board games and pampering!
HUB
The Hub is our venue for young people with additional needs. Additional needs just means anything that may make it more challenging for a young person to access the Youth Programme, that could be a physical disability, learning difficulties, health conditions or mental health challenges. We’re here to ensure that no young person lacks the support they need to have an incredible time at Focus Youth. We have a dedicated team who look out for young people in the Hub and across the different youth venues. The Hub will be open during all the main sessions and is close to both the Common Room and the Youth Centre, so young people are free to move between the Hub and the venue for their age group, depending on what is best for them.
MORNING SESSIONS
In both the Youth Centre and the Common Room, every young person is placed into a small group to journey through the weekend. In the Youth Centre we arrive into our small groups and catch up, worship together, head to the Silent Lab of our choice and then the pop-ups will be open to round up the morning. Our ‘Silent Labs’ are three different seminar streams played through silent disco headphones, so you can pick your topic of choice and tune in. In the Common Room, year 12 and 13s will have time to worship, hear from God, listen to different speakers, and journey through the theme with their small group and their leader.
AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES
We have a load of activities on offer during the afternoons. The inflatable arena will be waiting for you, along with the basketball court, skate ramps, gaming zone, prayer and journalling space, and of course, the world famous Bridge The Gap football tournament!
If you’re feeling hungry for more through the afternoons, there are seminars that equip young people and leave everyone feeling inspired.
EVENING SESSIONS
We’ll all gather together in the Youth Centre to worship, hear from some fantastic speakers and have time to pray together and connect with God. This is our opportunity to be together as a whole Youth community!
After hours
Whether you want a chilled space to hang out with mates or let loose at an epic party, After Hours is the place to be. We take over the Youth Centre and Common Room to offer the final opportunity to make the most of your time with your mates.
