'Being on team at Focus was such an amazing experience. To feel like you're helping and making a real difference is just the best.'

- Team Volunteer at Focus 16.

If you are interested in being on team please wait to be confirmed on team BEFORE you book on to Focus.

We would love to have as many people as possible join a team,
but please be aware we can only accept applications from people who are joining us for the full week.

Our vision for Focus Kids and Youth is to raise up a generation who love God, know the good news of Jesus and are passionate about sharing this good news to the world. We would love to invite you to be part of this vision and help us to encourage children and young people to take exciting steps in their spiritual journey. With a fantastic week, jam-packed full of teaching, worship, games, sports, crafts, guest speakers and much, much more. We're really excited to see what God is going to do on the beautiful Somerley Estate this year...come and join us.

Our Tent and Our Hut support children and youth with special needs. Each young person requiring support will have a one-to-one buddy to work out how they would like to spend the session, in the mainstream venues, special needs venues or a combination of both.

Be a part of the team that helps direct guests around the site, welcomes guests to the main venues, checks their wristbands and answers any questions they might have. You will also be our eyes and ears communicating anything that needs resolving, and helping to keep the venues tidy and in order.

If you serve on this team you will receive a discounted event pass costing £95.

If you have a great smile and love greeting people this is the perfect team for you. We would love your help with welcoming guests to Focus on registration days. You will be spread across the site helping people to find their way around, answering questions and lending a helping hand.

If you’re a seasoned camper then this is the team for you. Town Planners look after their camping zone welcoming guests as they arrive, making sure they know where they can pitch their tent and being a point of contact for any camping questions throughout the week. You will be responsible for knowing all the tents that will be pitched in your zone and making sure that they all fit.

If you serve on this team you will receive a free Event Pass and your camping/caravan/electric spot will be free.

If you can learn to make a frothy cappuccino, do some simple maths and are
passionate about Tearfund’s work, then the Tearfund Cafe could be the place
for you this summer!

The Tearfund Cafe is a much loved mainstay at many of the biggest events
including Focus. As part of the team you’ll be serving Focus goers delicious
ethical drinks and snacks. Get chatting to them about Tearfund and hopefully
leave them excited and ready to support our work. If you can serve with a smile even when it gets busy (and it does!) we would love to hear from you!

The Compassion Café and Soft Play will be back for 2017!  Would you like to be part of the team this year?  Not only will you be part of contributing to a great venue and learning how to make delicious coffee, but you will be helping release children from poverty in Jesus name.  This is what one of our team members from 2016 said when she was asked ‘What would you say to someone thinking about volunteering with Compassion?’

“Just do it! You will be fully trained and equipped by the team leaders who are very supportive. You don’t need to feel worried about being thrown in the deep end, so go for it.”

If you serve on these teams you will receive a free Event Pass and your camping spot will be free.

Capturing those special moments, the fun festival vibes, the relaxed chilled times, is all part of the average day for our photography team.
